Our founder and pharmacist Thad Schumacher started Fitchburg Family Pharmacy in 2016 with a vision of creating a local pharmacy that provides personal service to all. Thad recognized that many communities in Fitchburg and South Madison lacked the personal care that comes with a local pharmacy. This patient care focus is what drives Thad and the rest of our pharmacy family to make sure that everyone has access to quality care.

Our path has not been without hardship though, a few short months after our first opening a pipe failure caused our entire store to be flooded. Although this presented a great challenge for our young pharmacy we managed to not only replace the lost inventory, but also continue to provide full services to all our customers.

In 2018 we realized that in order to continue our growing levels of service to the community we were going to need more space! That Spring we moved up Fish Hatchery Rd. to our current space. We are continuing make sure we are doing everything we can to serve our patients and ensure the health and safety of our community is protected. Nobody expresses our commitment to our patients better than Thad.
